Ron Ottenad
Spiritual Director
With over two decades of experience as an Executive Pastor in a prominent Long Beach, CA church, Ron Ottenad offers a unique understanding of the dynamics, challenges and blessings of serving in ministry. Presently, he is an Adjunct Faculty member at Biola University and as a Staff Spiritual Director at the Institute for Spiritual Formation. Additionally, Ron is the president of Rooted Soul Ministries, an organization dedicated to nurturing the spiritual well-being of pastors and missionaries, providing essential care for their souls and helping cultivate their life in Christ.
Ron's academic background includes training in Spiritual Direction and a Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology, complemented by a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership.
He has written several impactful books, including "The God Way: Walking an Old Road to a New Life," "The Risk Men: The Unexpected Rewards of Lifelong Friendship," and "After: Learning How to Live After the Death of a Child."
For 37 years, Ron has been married to his beautiful wife Tammie, partnering with her in ministry for 17 of those years. Together, they delight in their two adult children, both actively engaged in the field of education.
