Peter Larson
Senior Director, WinShape Marriage
Dr. Peter Larson joins WinShape with a deep passion for strengthening marriages and helping people thrive in their God-given purpose. Married to his wife, Heather, for 30 years, they have three young adult children—their son, AJ, is married to Olivia and serving overseas as a missionary; their daughter Kate is pursuing her master’s degree in Anchorage, Alaska; and their daughter Anna is serving with Young Life at Lost Canyon Ranch in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Peter earned his BA in Psychology from St. Olaf College, and both his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. His career has focused on the intersection of psychology, theology, and relationship health—serving as Clinical Director for the Smalley Relationship Center, President of Prepare/Enrich, Director of Assessments for Gloo, and most recently as Vice President of Assessment Science for Motivations AI.
Peter and Heather have shared a lifelong calling to help couples grow in faith and connection. Together, they’ve co-authored several books on marriage and parenting with David and Claudia Arp, and they regularly mentor young couples preparing for marriage. Peter has also helped facilitate a local men’s Bible study for more than a decade, while Heather continues to serve couples through her work as a marriage coach with Hope Restored.
When he’s not working, Peter loves to mountain bike, hike with Heather, and ski—and he is currently working on his pickleball game!
