Where are you located?
WinShape Retreat is located on the campus of Berry College in Rome, GA, approximately 1.5 hours northwest of Atlanta, GA.
Can we bring our kids to a Marriage Retreat?
While we love kids (and even have summer camps for them!), our Marriage Retreats are a place for parents to get away and focus on their relationship. Therefore, no infants or children are permitted at these events.
What are the accommodations like?
Our accommodations are similar to that of a hotel. Couples stay in their own private room with a king-sized bed and a private bathroom with a shower and dual sink vanity. Towels, linens, and a hair dryer are provided. In order to help foster an environment where couples can truly focus on one another, our rooms do not have TVs or telephones. We believe a rejuvenating weekend away starts with space to rest well.
When are my check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 4 PM to 5:30 PM on the day of your arrival, with the first event being dinner at 6 PM. Checkout is at 9 a.m. on the day of your departure, with the retreat ending around noon.
Do you have an electric car charger available?
Yes, we have an EV charger onsite. Feel free to plug in during your stay, just ask our front desk team when you arrive for directions.
Do you have mini fridges available?
Yes. We have mini-fridges available upon request. To reserve one for your room, email our Customer Experience team at wsm@winshape.org.
Is the campus handicap accessible?
Yes. Our retreat campus includes accessible lodging, meeting spaces, and dining areas. If you have specific needs or mobility concerns, let us know during registration and we’ll make sure you’re well taken care of.
Is there a gym onsite?
Yes. Guests have access to a gym located in the Hub, along with hiking/running/biking trails across campus.
What can we do during our free time?
During your stay at WinShape Retreat, you’re welcome to explore the beautiful Berry College campus on one of the many walking or biking trails—just stop by the Grand Chalet to grab a map. We also have a variety of other activities and games available. You can play pickleball, play disc golf, fish, hike, play board games, read, relax in a hammock, and more! Feel free to bring your own bikes, equipment, and games, but we also have everything you’ll need available for checkout at the front desk.
What do we need to bring?
The dress for your retreat will be very casual. Please bring comfortable clothing for the entire weekend, including Sunday morning. We recommend at least one pair of pants, a light jacket, and layers in case of colder weather, rain, etc. During most retreats, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in recreational activities, which require closed-toe/closed-heel shoes (preferably athletic shoes).
On Saturday, you’ll have the opportunity to have a professional photo taken by our on-site photographer. If you’d like to bring a nicer outfit, you’re welcome to, though it’s not required.
Be sure to bring all personal toiletries, any medicines you’re currently taking, and items like a Bible, small book bag, and water bottle.
You will not need any money during your stay, as lodging, meals, snacks, and programming are all included in your registration fee. However, if you’d like to shop at our on-site gift shop, you may want to bring a credit or debit card.
Can I make a reservation for a stay at WinShape outside of a Marriage Retreat?

What is your cancellation policy for Marriage Discipleship Training?
As there are often waiting lists for our experiences, please notify us at wsm@winshape.org as soon as possible if you will not be able to attend.
There is a $75 non-refundable administrative fee for every registration.
Up to 30 Days Before
Guests may cancel and receive a full refund, minus the $75 non-refundable fee. You may request a refund here.
Within 30 Days
Rescheduling is not permitted. Guests may transfer their reservation to another couple, but if this is not possible, all payments will be treated as a contribution to our scholarship fund and no longer available to be refunded.
