So, what exactly is a WinShape Marriage Retreat?
We’re glad you asked! WinShape Marriage Retreats are all-inclusive three-day weekend getaways at WinShape Retreat in Rome, Georgia, where you and your spouse will have space and time to focus on your relationship. During these Christian Marriage Retreats, you’ll learn Bible-based teaching from expert speakers and experience worship in a large group setting. As a result, you’ll be able to add tangible skills to your marriage toolkit. Additionally, you’ll spend time throughout the weekend relaxing on the peaceful WinShape Retreat campus. Every aspect of the weekend—from the setting, to the hospitality, to experiential learning opportunities—is designed to both stretch and strengthen you and your spouse, encouraging you on your marriage journey and allowing you to grow closer to each other and God.

In addition to our three-day weekend retreats, Marriage Intensives are offered at WinShape through Focus on the Family and Center for Relational Care. These are week-long experiences at WinShape Retreat in Rome, Georgia, designed for couples whose marriage is in crisis or whose marriage is healthy but would benefit from extended, focused time. These experiences offer small group counseling with trained professionals. You can read an additional blog to help you determine if an intensive would be a better fit for you and your spouse.
How much do Marriage Retreats cost?
Almost all our retreats cost $620 per couple. This includes programming, meals, lodging, and taxes. There are a few exceptions. You can always find the exact cost for the retreat you’re interested in on the individual retreat page.
What should I do if my spouse or I is hesitant to attend a Marriage Retreat?
First, know that hesitancy is normal. We hear questions and concerns from couples often, and we’d love to ease any fears you may have. In fact, we’ve written an additional blog to specifically address and alleviate your concerns.
We’ve also heard about Romantic Adventures. What are those?
Our Romantic Adventures are a new offering since 2022—and they’re super popular! These are still three-day weekend getaways at WinShape Retreat in Rome, Georgia, and they’re for couples who are looking to embrace their active and adventurous side and learn how to prioritize “playing” again. The main difference between these and Marriage Retreats is the amount of time spent participating in experiential learning aka “learning by doing” rather than auditorium type content sessions.
